HORIZON Yacht is a Taiwanese shipyard headquartered in Kaohsiung City. Founded in 1987 by John Lu, Gong Shan Chiai and Cheng Shun Hui, mainly to meet the demand of domestic and US buyers. The builder very quickly became the Asian leader in the luxury yacht market. He is known throughout the industry for his sophisticated craftsmanship, construction techniques and innovative technology. In 1989, the company decided to start targeting Europe, Australia and Asian markets. Horizon Yachts is also a member of the super and megayacht association Sybass. The yard offers 9 lines of motor yachts, ranging from 15 to 46 meters in length. The best known are the Fybridge ESeries, the Superyacht RPSeries and the PCSeries (catamarans). Since 2013, the yard has offered upkeep, maintenance and refitting services for yachts dedicated to superyachts over 30 meters. The company is recognized as one of the top 10 in the global superyacht market by The Superyacht Report. Horizon contributes one-third of Taiwan's total yacht exports. It has elevated the country to the top five luxury mega yacht-building countries in the world. What has earned him for thirteen consecutive years, the prize for the best Asian yacht builder at the Asia Boating Awards. Horizon Group's private international marina adds the Certified Marina Operator (CMO) license to its growing list of accomplishments and accreditations. Ella also received Taiwan's first Gold Anchor Global Marina accreditation in 2016. Two years later, Horizon is ranked tenth among the world's largest yacht builder.
