Lo Yacht DANAE è stato costruito nel 1989 (ultimo rinnovo nel 1994) presso il costruttore olandese CAMMENGA. DANAE ha uno scafo realizzato in acier ed una superstruttura in alluminio. La lunghezza è di 31,5 metri per una larghezza di 7,2 metri ed un’immersione di 2,4 metri. L’esterno dell’imbarcazione è realizzato da WILLEM DE VRIES LENTSCH JR.. Nello yacht DANAE la propulsione è costituita da due motori CATERPILLAR D353T che arrivano a produrre in totale fino a 860 cavalli che può arrivare ad una velocità massima di 12 nodi.
