FOUNTAINE PAJOT is a French cruise catamaran construction company, created in Aigrefeuille-d'Aunis in 1976 by Jean-François Fountaine, Yves Pajot and Daniel Givon. The company first produced light dinghies, before turning to the production of windsurfing boards and then that of cruising catamarans. The head office of Fountaine-Pajot is located in Aigrefeuille-d'Aunis, near La Rochelle. With establishments in these two cities, this company of 400 employees became in 2006 one of the main manufacturers of cruising catamarans in the world. The market then evolving towards the recreational practice of funboarding, the yard turned to the production of habitable catamarans in 1983. The models produced increased in size, ranging from 40 to 67 feet for sailing models, and from 37 to 55 feet for motorized catamarans. In 2005, investments made it possible to industrialize production, while it moved towards the top of the range. The following year, the development of a specific process for manufacturing boat decks by injection allows the yard to produce larger volumes. In 2008, Fountaine-Pajot produced nearly 2,700 catamarans across 40 models. In 2022, they are releasing their brand new luxury motor model, the POWER 67, which reveals 40 years of Fountaine-Pajot expertise. Today, Fountaine-Pajot produces luxury sailing and motor catamarans and stands out thanks to its policy of investing in new generation materials.
